I am desperately trying to figure out a way to convert some card images for use on a poker card(should be same size).
So I have a base image from:
which is 322x450 . It is a 2.5x3.5 (63x88m) card from measuring the physical copies I have. I try to scale it to 825x1125 but of cause that does not fully work because it is not the exact same ratio?
Does anyone know how to correctly adjust it to fit with the cutting and safety lines?
I tried scaling as above, then just align it with the template but does ALL the important part have to be inside the blue dotted lines?. So the actual card picture has to be inside blue, then the "black border" should be inside the blue to red border zone and whatever is in the fully red zone doesnt really matter (but I guess that should be black too).
Tried with red zone as border and original image is attached.
I hate to say it, but it is always better to find out the EXACT size your image is required for printing BEFORE you design any cards; I hear this story all the time. Someone comes up with designs for a Tarot deck and use the size their favorite deck is and then find out it has no relation to the sizes the printing company they want to use has for cards. The easiest (not the 'best') solution is usually to shrink the existing card so that one of its dimensions matches the printer's smaller specific size, and then add borders to fill in the gap - NOT a great solutiuon by any means, but saves you from having to completely re-design the card.
The cards are actually not my own but from an existin game. I have french version of them but well they are available online but dunno how to adjust them to fit the printer. Tried another printing service which have a different pixel ratio for the exact same card as here.
