Hi guys

Our first card game is almost ready but I need your help with choosing a final layout for our cards. Interregnum will be a game of courtly intrigue with 32 character cards.

We have 2 very different ideas for card desing so please tell us which one do you prefere and why.

I prefer Number One over Number Two. The drape on the edge that incorporates a character symbol (books for the Astronomer, cups for the Lady in Waiting) gives them a visual that they just walked 'into the room' - and since your description mentions 'courtly intrigue', you are left with an impression of them being 'in a castle' - I feel this is a much better background than the plain parchment with the fingerprints (why the fingerprints?).

Perhaps Number One could also incorprate their character name?

I agree that layout one looks nicer then layout two. I also agree about trying to add the names to the layout somehow. You could also possibly try to tweak the bottom white area. I understand its use, but it seems bland in an otherwise detailed layout.
