Most of you already know that largest size for maps and spaces can be use on mats. Some use folding boards and just wondering if possible to have poster to print out, esp for maps for some developers. Just wasnt big enough for some projects to complete and would be pain to use mats like building a maze around it.
It is nice to find a place where you can design your dream board games or cards, but lack of few things to complete and this lead me to find another place to have it done. Of course when i get project going, wont be all the details to complete and the buyers would have to find other needs elsewhere.
So just wondering if possible to have this large poster for maps and other needs in the future.
I only discovered about The Game Crafter some months ago (I'm pretty new to game design), but in this time I've been learning about them and it's amazing how they've grown and how many options they've added in the past years.
So I can't talk in their name, but it's safe to assume that more options will be included in the future, at least if there's a sizable demand for them. I don't see it reasonable to waste time and resources on something that only a bunch of designers would order.
Time will tell, but looking at their track record I'm pretty sure things just will get even better.
Yeah would be much better if they can expand, giving the gamers more options. But unfort i have to get these maps done elsewhere and that isnt going to be easy for the gamers if they are interesting in the projects i am working on. More money of course.
Gotta say that map poster ideas isnt bad at all, they should get it.
IMO it's not a matter of they being good or bad ideas, it's a matter of being feasible or reasonable. I'm sure they have great ideas by themselves and that they get even more from others constantly, but they either lack the resources to implement them (money or time) or they have determined that they won't have enough demand or they simply think there are other priorities.
Anyway, if you want to gauge if an idea is good or bad and see how many others agree AND you want TGC to implement them, this site has a great suggestion system in place:
