This game has gone through several iterations over the years. It began as a fifth graders idea written on the back of a notepad and has grown slowly but surely, in somewhat erratic bursts. Anyways, I am looking for some input. It's gotten to a point where I need to balance some numbers and take a good look at the core mechanics and I was hoping some of you might like to take a quick look and add your 2 cents. The fluff is not done and not fully developed but I've included it for giggles. None of the art is mine (except the map) and I claim no ownership of it.
The game has a high level of character customization where you fight gladiatorial combat style skirmishes between several wizards. Play and counter play is the main focus of the game. It is designed as a game with some deliberately strong characteristics with some major downfalls. The purpose being that the very powerful combos will only win if you can manage to outplay your opponent into actually letting you pull off the combo.
Important questions I'm looking for answers to:
"What do you feel is missing?"
"Can you break the game?"
"Whats the most overpowered thing you can do and is it counter-able?"
"Do the rules feel engaging and tactically interesting?"
"Are the characters interesting enough to field different variants on each?"
"Can multiple winning builds be put together for each Caster type?"
